ABOUT AP STAMP APPROVALS

This business is the direct successor to the Rick Warren Approvals service, which was formed in 1977. During the 1980s and 1990s it grew to be one of the major stamp firms in the UK and also one of the largest approval dealers.

 

Peter Elwood became its manager in 1996 and ran it full time until 2017, at which time it was part of the Stanley Gibbons group of companies. In 2017 Peter joined forces with Aaron Reader when the business was acquired from Stanley Gibbons, to trade independently as A P Stamps.

 

Whilst the internet has widened the choice for collectors, there are still many who find our traditional view at home service a satisfying and convenient way to build up their collections.  It has the added advantage being able to view and buy the actual stamp/s (not a scan).
